Astra Pavilon

Astra Pavilon is a space that presents an immense road infrastructure project underway in Zürich, CH. Across a two-floor exhibition, Astra (The Swiss Federal Roads Office) presented the status and highlights of their Gubrist tunnel refurbishment project.

The pavilion comprises 12 hanging information panels, neighbored by LED screens and other various objects. The panels are offset and bent into semicircles, in conjunction with floor signage, together guiding visitors through each subject and phase of the project.

Distinctive aspects of the visual identity, namely the graphic elements used, emanate from the construction of the typeface’s geometric sans serif letterforms. Deriving from an architectural setting, the typeface forges the link between visual communication and the construction site.
