Design Lab Brazil

a project that started in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Design Lab Brazil is an exploration of design means that originate from informal practices. The aim of the project is to identify creative manifestations, to build dialogues with experts and local people, and to learn from simple approaches. The goal is to challenge how we define [in]formal design.

The project included traveling to Brazil to conduct research and documentation, and, upon returning to Switzerland, presenting and exhibiting the findings at a conference organized by ZhDk & Dossier International. The exhibition presented the first stage of the research project with a selection of materials in the form of a book, a sound installation, and gathered artefacts.
